Lizard Catching

I like that neither child is afraid to go pick up anything.  I remember as a child having tons of lizards and frogs in our yard and we would catch them all the time and try to keep them as pets, or watch as their tails fell off (weird right?).  I want my kids to not be pansy's about that kind of stuff because it's awesome and there is so much to learn from all the bugs outside!  On a regular basis we are finding lizards and catching them.  Love how B is wearing my watch, lately he has a watch obsession and since he doesn't have his own, he takes turns on all of mine.

Saturday Activity

It was raining and freezing, but we had to take our new family member out on the lake.

Next time we need sun, bread for the ducks, fishing poles and a picnic lunch to make it even more perfect.

Bernheim Forest

We had heard about Bernheim forest and how it was awesome so we decided to go. It's great for little kids, but there were no intermediate hikes like we were expecting. But we did some walks and had a picnic!

our new obsession on those windy days. I'm grateful that we can walk 2 min to the park!

Sledding with Grandpa and Grammie

Waterfront Park

While my mom was in town we did Waterfront park. We didn't walk very far, it goes on for miles and miles. There are playgrounds, parks, watch the boats take stuff to and from...tons of things to do. It's gorgeous there! We walked to the Lincoln memorial, found out that he was from here. Can't wait to explore there more often!
