Mammoth Caves

June 30, 2012

We went down to Mammoth Caves for the morning and got to do a couple hour tour.  It's amazing how many huge underground caves there are in the Kentucky area!  It was really neat to see all these amazing rooms that are not man made!  Nature is pretty amazing!  B's favorite part was seeing all the rocks he could jump off of, hiking and wearing a head lamp like his dad!  We then stopped at all these random little stores that were very American Pickers like, hit Dinosaur World and went down to Nashville (why not, we were only an hour away).  Nashville would be great without kids.  It's was over 110 and humid and on a Saturday in late afternoon there isn't much to take kids to do.  There were tons of bars with great singers that James and I wished we could hop to and from to have appetizers and just listen...maybe we will need to take a long weekend there!  We went to some little dive for dinner that a friend told us about, they had amazing hamburgers!!!  It was a fun outing for the day!

This little girl had a rat tail in the middle back of her head. It was horrible! It was at least 2 inches longer than the rest of the hair. I finally cut it off. It looks much better and now James doesn't complain when she is laying in the bathtub and it's floating above her head. Brady doesn't like missing out on pics too. He was talking about his eyes and what they do. Oh those lady killer eyes...

So random. It has been so nice! We haven't had a bad winter at all. It snowed maybe 2x before this, but then by 12 it was all gone. That is my kind of snow day! I'm loving this Kentucky weather we are having. Brady was so excited when he looked outside. We had a snow ball fight and made a snowman and I taught him to make snow angels.

A Pretty Little Baby Shower

My friends Cassie, Jocelyn and Brittany threw me a baby shower. It was so pretty! The kinds you see in pictures and wish someone would throw for you. Obviously I didn't get great pictures...i hate when I realize that after the fact! They even sang happy birthday to me since it was the day before! I got showered with great stuff (so happy since I didn't have anything beforehand!) I'm grateful for the friends that I have been blessed with since moving out here to Kentucky...there have been some that have been pretty awesome!

Party Time

I stole these from Connie's blog (go to hers if you want to see the pics better). She put together a party and it was great since there are a lot of new families in our new ward! I was glad we went and got to know more of the people in our ward better! Fun games, great treats and good company!

Procrastination

I have a lot of boxes ready to go, but we end up building forts and playing cars in them. I hate packing. We are moving to a new place. One that is better for our family and our wallets. I'm SUPER sad to leave our fabulous house and neighborhood, but happy to be doing whats best for our needs. We have to be out by the 30th, but I'm sure for awhile this is what we will continue doing. 6.5 mo prego in the heat doesn't give me any motivation!

Balloon Glow

we had to get a kroger pic for grandpa! Don't mind my bangs! I need them cut so bad, so for the moment they are doing whatever they feel like!

Every year they do this. It was right down the street from our house so we had to go! Brady loved it, it was super late though when it was going on. I am a little sad I didn't get a funnel cake...next year for sure! Of course Brady loved seeing his buddies too! Those three are trouble together!!! Lately brady wakes up from naps asking to see "jakeyzach". While waiting for all the cars to clear out the boys watched toy story and we all sat and chatted! 7am next morn, james woke me up and opened the windows so I could watch them all fly away!

Thunder over Louisville

we love the Pond's. Brady loves Jovie their daughter. We decided last minute to get together and do dinner and go to Thunder. It was so cold we were able to go up to the med school building and watch the whole show. Next year we will have to do it outside and be more apart of the action. The show was still pretty cool.
