Last AZ Girls Night

DSC_0686Picnik collage
How sad. I cried going to my car afterwards. I love these girls! We had so much fun all together for the past few years I have been here. We hit up the Cheesecake Factory and it was delicious! I'm so grateful for these girls and their friendship! We did have such a great ward in Az and there are many days where I miss these ladies lots!

Pretty Exciting stuff!

Another thing getting crossed off my list of 101 things to do in 1001 days!

I started learning how to sew last night. Ok. Well I learned how to

- buy a pattern

- take it out of the envelope and read it

- line my fabric up

- pin everything and how to read the pattern

- and cut my fabric out!

Next week we will actually start the sewing process! We are making PJ pants for Relief Society and I'm so excited! I love PJ pants, and I think I have found my new love of crafting! Well, I guess we shall see how my pants turn out before I say that! This is my fabric (flannel), which I bought extra along with another type to make a baby blanket for a friend! Gorgeous isn't it!

Last girls night

6 of us girls went and saw this movie and went to yogurtland. I love doing yogurtland before so we can sit and chat for awhile and catch up!!! The movie was cute, a little gruesome for a romantic comedy but I still thought it was a fun movie. I think even guys would like it. Ashton looked handsome as ever, katherine did a great job playing the funny wife. Loved Tom Selleck as the dad...what a handsome man he is.
Recommend it!

Jens Baby Shower

Angela and I decided to through our friend Jen a baby shower. She has babysat Brady for quite awhile and is so dang adorable. We were glad that Malachi hadn't come yet, since she technically had been in labor for like a week by now. He popped his head out a few days later! So here is the spread (we planned for a lot more guests, but there was a ward funeral that day too):

Jen and her gifts, look how excited she was! I would be too, if I had gotten what Angela gave

Funny thing. Angela and I were the last ones to give birth in our ward and that was almost 15 months ago. January till now there have been 4 births and there are now 5 more! Finally some more babies to hold! Everyone is due right in a row from april to June.

The group of girls. It was so much fun to eat and hang out with the girls. It was only supposed to be 2 hours, but we ended up talking for four hours! Thanks for having a baby Jen so that we could all hang out and have girls time!

Farwell Kally

DSC_1788

Kally (the one I'm hugging) is leaving and I'm so sad! She was my first friend here, she took care of brady from 6 weeks to 7 months, she is so dang adorable and I love her to death. She is a fabulous and patient mom, she is such a good friend and so supportive and helpful if you need anything, she has a great testimony, great strength in the church despite things that have happened in her family (her brother is now blind due to a bombing in Afghanistan where he was stationed). So a bunch of us did a farwell dessert night which turned into dinner at cheesecake factory and talking for many hours (of course, who didn't expect us to talk forever?!) I always enjoy my girl time. I love our ward now. We have had so many young couples move in and made friends with so many of the couples our age! It's become a blast! I'm going to miss kally terribly, but thank goodness for phones and blogs to keep us in touch easier!

Girls Night

Picture 008

Picture 009
A Bunch of us Girls from the ward went to the movies. We saw the Time Travelers Wife. It wasn't as good as the book and of course left out a lot. But we all still sobbed, well most of us at least. It was cute, but I would say just rent it. There were a lot of butt scenes (i'll be honest, I didn't mind...eric bana is a handsome man). I put this night together because sooo many of the girls don't know each other, or really talk so this was our chance to become friends! We got to chat after wards and begin a great friendship! HAH, I will MAKE these girls be my friends ;)
I've needed girls because let's be honest, they aren't our husbands. Nothing will compare though to my Hawaii sisters (seriously, girls nights - james and I still laugh about them and the crazy things we learned that brought us closer...in a way ;)) But it is great to find a niche with some girls to do things with, especially since some of us have kids the same age or around there. I needed estrogen time, because husbands don't always cut it (love you james but it's the truth!)
So Thanks girls for coming!!!!!!

The Weekend

trying on make up at sephora
visiting the hotels...how can i be so huge and not have gained any weight!
go to harley davidson cafe...lucky to have my sister and her boyfriend come down to visit us!
saw some shoes
ate at dennys...our old stomping grounds (from days in ptown)
be silly!
We had such a great weekend. It was much needed to be with all my girlies. It's been like 4-5 years since we have all been together! And it was exactly like the old days! We saw shows, shopped like CRAZY, some gambled, ate at great places, talked, laughed, slept...it was the perfect vacation!!! But let me just say...I will never visit Vegas again. In college we used to go alot with friends just to get out of provo, but now it's just gross. Naked women EVERYWHERE, I couldn't look anywhere without seeing porn and lesbians. It was so awkward. I'm glad that our hubbys didn't come, because that would have been so awkward for us and them. It's just a filthy place now compared to 5 years ago...of course it was filthy then, but it's sad to see that is where the world is going...completely downhill! So along with it being girls weekend it was my farewell trip to vegas! I can't wait to get together with these AMAZING women again next year! Thanks for all the wonderful memories!

After 3 1/2 LONG Years, We will be reunited tomorrow in Vegas!

Road trips
The Price is Right
BYU Football games
Kareoke parties
Birthdays
Weddings
Shopping
Holidays

Institute Dances
Dinners
Graduations
Dennys runs at midnight
Gatherings at our wonderful apartments.
These are my amazing ladies. Yes, many may look at us and think what a random group, but we make up the perfect group of best friends (I call them my other sisters)! What one lacks, someone else has. We were all put together almost 6 years ago in the Avenues of P-Town and it was meant to be. Since we all last lived in Utah 4 years ago, we haven't been able to all be together. Someone always misses a wedding, a baby being born, a graduation...or so on...but finally we are able to have the most WONDERFUL long weekend in Vegas. I need this soooo bad, and I'm thankful to have a hubby that is so excited for me to go and see my sisters! Boy oh boy am I excited for a fun packed weekend with my most favorite ladies!

Book Club or an Excuse for Girls night?

So last night we had our "book club" only 3 out of the 8 had read the book, but we loved the fact that everyone else came and still put in their opinion! Plus we only really talked about the book for about 20-30 min and then moved on to our girls night talks where we talk about EVERYTHING. They are so fun and make you laugh so hard! We found out some exciting news last night for a special friend, but im still hush hush but I am sooooo excited for this couple! ;) ;) Anyways all of a sudden we all realize it's midnight and wonder why husbands have been calling us asking where the heck we are! It was a fabulous book club, but an even better time with the girls. I always look forward to these nights where we can all let it loose and wear our comfy clothes!

Oh the Glories of Girls Night!

So Friday night we all went to Leah's and had girls night. There were about nine of us and it was SOOOO much fun! We have learned that you need them. We all brought food or fatty snacks and sat and talked and peed our pants laughing for about 4 1/2 hours! Crazy huh?! It is always such a fun time together just talking about life and our funny secrets and other silly things girls talk about...especially the married women! So I got this remote as a email and thought it was so funny, cause it made me think of the other night and some of the things that we talked about. We get stereotyped in a lot of areas, but let's be honest...some of them are sooo true! But we can't seem to help it. But by having girls nights, I guess you seem to figure out how to get past those stereotypes and be creative in how you respond to all situations! Anyways, we have decided to get on the ball more about these girls nights, where we make sure all the kids are in bed by 8 and all the hubbys are busy with school or work! hurray for those times with lots of estrogen!
