We're havin a baby picture overload

Friday night my sister Kristen, sister in law Katie and I go to see "I don't know how she does it" (SUPER CUTE MOVIE). I come home and decide to take some castor oil. My sister only has a few more days in town and I don't want her to miss the birth. My doctor last minute decided not to induce me so I was going to take matters into my own hands to make sure baby girl came over the weekend! I downed 1 cup of orange juice mixed with 2 teaspoons of castor oil. I didn't get any side effects and I really don't think it worked.
Saturday morning 5:30am. I wake up having super intense contractions 1-2 minutes apart. I get up and read till 7am watching them and they are very consistent and getting stronger. I wake up james. Poor guy, didn't want to wake up! We shower, pack our bags and wake up my sister and sister in law to let them know the news.

9am we get to triage and I am 3 cm dialated. I'm just glad they didn't send me home. James wanted pics of me during contractions to get the whole effect. And our last pic of the belly cause we were going to miss it (not really).

10:45am - 80% effaced and dilated to a 6. I decide to get an epidural then. My sister and Katie and Brady come to visit. Brady is bored and is unsure about me with all these tubes in a bed. He was a little scared for a bit, till I showed him how cool my bed was (that ended up being a big mistake!!!).

love this pic of James! he can sleep anywhere!

1pm - my nurse broke my water. I loved Vicki!
In laws came down, everyone went to Chik-fil-a and then ate in front of me! Horrible when you can't eat till you give birth ;)
2:40pm - started having the kind of contractions that make you want to push
3:15pm - dilated to a 10
3:40pm - started to push
4:20 - baby born

It was nice to have a normal delivery where James could do the rite of passage as a Dad ;) I'm glad she ended up being smaller than what the ultrasound tech said. My Dr. in Arizona was right in saying "we don't really know the size, it's just a guess"

my sister after watching her first birth. Good thing it was easy, hopefully it will make her want to have kids soon (hint, hint)

My in Laws drove down and arrived around 12ish so my Mother in Law was also able to be in the delivery room.

Brady did so well with his sissy and kept giving her kisses and wanted to hold her constantly! It was pretty precious.

I'm thankful for technology that rocks. We got to chat with my parents right after the birth so that they could see the baby too.

Isn't she just precious?!

my friend Brittany came to visit, and then later my friend Jocelyn came to visit too

All in all, this was a WAAAY easier birth. Less than 12 hours from start to finish...awesome! Had an episiotomy but it was far less horrible than the first time around. Thank goodness she had a smaller head than her brother! After this birth I see why people have no problem delivering a lot of kids. I would do this birth experience 100x again!

39 weeks/last week?

DSC_0594
Dilated 3cm, 50% effaced.
Ultrasound shows that she is between 8.9-9.9 pounds.
She still hasn't dropped.
She is VERY active!
Just waiting to see if I get to be induced this week, but trying to do everything I can now to get her out ASAP!
I love being pregnant, it's super easy for me...but I'm ready to hold her!

Carrying Watermelon

You know when you see these types of pics and think "wow". Going through them finally and now I know why so many people asked me what I was smuggling under that dress cause it didn't look real.
Give me some good news tomorrow doc, cause I'm ready to be done!

36 weeks/ 9 months

DSC_0630
as of 37 Week appt:
Weight gain total thus far: 20 pounds
Likes: Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Milkshakes
Dislikes: hot dogs, and brady wants them all the time. They smell nasty
Complaints: She is all up in my space! And somehow even though she is huge she is UBER ACTIVE! The only time I got swollen feet was my flight back from Cali (thank goodness that has been it!). Sometimes I have heartburn, but I am grateful for Prevacid!
Anything new: She hates when you try to get her to do anything. She is not a performer (unlike her brother). I got an ultrasound today to check the size of the baby. I'll admit that I am not good at birthing large babies, my body has a hard time with it. We learned that she is at least 8 pounds and her head size is in the 95%!!! I'm measuring 2 weeks later than what I am. I'm screwed...still have three more weeks. Please don't grow anymore! Plus my dr. informed me that I am not dialated at all and my cervix isn't soft...this was what it was like last time. I thought after all the time I was on my feet being active in Cali that would help, but nope!
Hope you are enjoying life in there baby, because I might just force you to come out soon! Brady keeps telling me how he wants to hold your hand, give you soda and teach you to swim!

Weight gain total thus far: 16 pounds
Likes: everything
Dislikes: nothing
Complaints: nothing!! Ok, I am starting to get uncomfortable while sitting for longer than 20 min.
Anything new: She always sticks her butt out on the right top side of my stomach, i try to push her down, but she always comes backs up. I guess it's good that i can tell she is head down...does that mean you are coming early little one?
We are working on her room slowly, I love getting baby girl packages in the mail and brady is constantly telling her to come out so he can hold her! Life is pretty dang good!

29 Weeks (7.1 months)

278748_10150702860830305_654225304_19247046_473949_o

Weight gain total thus far: 14 pounds
Likes: donuts and diet cherry dr. pepper
Dislikes: beef jerky, the smell makes me want to vomit
Complaints: 95 and humid...that is killer when I'm at the park or hiking the hills at the zoo. I have quite a few sharp/harsh contractions (luckily less than 6 a day...hopefully this means baby will come early)
Anything new: She is crazy, I'm constantly having contractions, she is up in my ribs and all the way down south...this girl is all over the place! I had heartburn one night for 30 min, but it hasn't come back since thank goodness! Twice my Right foot has swelled up, but luckily that has been it! Each pregnancy seems to get easier...i am lovin this!

6.07.2011

6 Months

Weight gain total thus far: 9.6 lbs. Thank goodness, because after this vacation...I thought I was a goner!
Likes: Same as every month; mexican and italian
Dislikes: nothing
Complaints: The heat!!! The other day I was helping my in-laws pull weeds for a few hours, then went swimming...after that much time outside I got some bad heat stroke! I hope that doesn't happen again this summer. Heat stroke pregnant, with a child = sucky!
Anything new: This last week she has become less docile. She is kinda getting crazy in there with all her kicking! I think she is just ready to come out and meet everyone! She still stays very low (keep it that way).

Just cause it's another one

A Beaba babycook 4-1 food maker!
So yes, this is my second child. But since it's a girl, does that mean it's kinda like my first?! There are a couple things I want. Of course they are all expensive! What the heck, why do companies make great things so pricey! So rude of them! So here is my list of a few things. I guess we could add : anything from Gap and Janie and Jack also...but putting that many pictures would take FOREVER! If you have any of these items, let me know what you think of them! I Loved my BOB Sport Utility Stroller for jogging, it was heaven. I have a MacClaren and an Uppa Baby which I also LOVE, but I wanted a good work out stroller and my SIL gave me her old BOB, now I need to get my own double, maybe one day I'll find one on craigslist for cheap!

When I had Brady I borrowed some things from people to try them out, or they just tried things out at the babysitters. I really want one of these fisher price lamb swings. Everyone raves about them and since it's a 2nd child and you don't hold them nearly as much as the 1st, even though I rarely held Brady since I wasn't ever really around...I would love one of these bad boys!
Have you felt these bad boys? I want one for my bed for me! They are so soft and would make a baby LOVE sleeping!
I can't decide if I love the hot pink polka dot blanket above or the light pink stripe below. Brady has one that is a 12inX12in and I love that I could always take it anywhere cause it was tiny and fit nicely in my purse! I will do that again and need to find one to attach her to!

I wish these didn't come in a pack of three. I just want the peacock one SO BAD! Swaddling was the best thing that was ever invented for B, so I will continue doing it! Aden + Anais bamboo swaddlers are AWESOME!

Oioi makes this diaper bag and I am SO IN LOVE! ISn't that print just awesome!

Bedroom Ideas

I have decided on bedding for our little girl, now i need to find a dresser like this one to put in her room! Man, putting together things for a girl is so much more fun. But I am excited when we move to our new place to put Brady's big boy bedding and bedroom together too!
Big Plans, Big plans!

It's a...

I still can't believe it! Crazy. This morning at the appt. we were early to make sure it happened and then they didn't have me down for an ultrasound. I started to tear up as I told them that my mother in law had driven 2 hours to come down for this (she had to leave by 6am!) and that I would not leave till I got this done. I got to see pics of the baby and of course Brady could not have been at all interested. For about 60 seconds, and then he wanted out. I don't blame him since we had been waiting 1 1/2 hours! I kept waiting for her to say boy (even though this whole pregnancy I def. thought it would be a girl) and whala...guess I should always go with my gut instinct! It hasn't really sunk in yet. I just think "oh crap" I remember how dramatic I was growing up and all my fits that I threw and how I said somethings to my parents I shouldn't have and yadda yadda yadda. And as cute as so many of my friends little girls are, so many already seem to learn the meaning of drama at age 2, so I am definitely scared for my life! Plus, I'm on a student budget...I totally wanted to go raid Gap and Janie and Jack today after I found out, but then I realized I am poor. So as exciting as it is thinking about all that for a girl, it ain't realistic. So I am half excited and half totally petrified. I guess this is payback! Hopefully we get a brunette! They changed my due date to Sept 24th (Brady's was the 24th too). She looks perfect and healthy and wiggly! We love her!

5.03.2011

5 Months!

20 weeks
We are more than half way there! Hurray!
Weight gain total thus far: 5 lbs. It's a miracle. My dr. told me that I really could be eating more, I told him that I eat like I always do and have been consuming sick amounts of easter candy, so I'm as shocked as he!
Likes: Mexican and Italian
Dislikes: nothing
Complaints: The Past few days have been like 80...I need to find more shorts ASAP! Also my Sciatic Nerve starts acting up every night around 6pm and I am constantly having Braxon Hicks everyday!
Anything new: Week 19 we could feel the baby on the outside (as in James could feel it kicking)...it's a crazy baby in the morning and late at night. But maybe I only notice that because that is the only time I am sitting!
We find out Thursday whether it's a Boy or Girl. I'm so sick of calling it "IT"
I'm pretty sure it's going to be a Girl.
Have you put in your vote?!

4.11.2011

It's A...

Ok, so we don't know yet.
We find out on May 5th!
James sweet talked our Dr. on our 16 week apt and he said we could find out...but the ultrasound tech said since it wasn't an emergency that she had to be somewhere and couldn't tell us. We were heartbroken! James went to 90% of my appts when we were prego with Brady and so far has come to all with this new baby. He is really upset that he can't miss any class the week we are finding out the sex. I have such a great hubby always coming with me and being such a great support and help! Anyways...we now have voting. James and I both think it's a girl...I have 16 friends in Aug/Sept having boys and only 2 having girls...and because we really want another boy (it would be way easier...we have everything, and Brady needs a buddy!) I figure I can't get my way 2x!

Oh Delish!

Turkey, Avocado, Tomato, Cucumbers = pure awesomeness

4 Months

16 weeks now
Pasty white...ew gross!
Weight gain total thus far: 3.4 lbs...I don't know how that is!
Likes: Burgers, anything cheesy, pineapple, chips and salsa and sour patch watermelon candies
Dislikes: nothing
Complaints: If it's above 70 in our room at night I'm dying of heat stroke!
Anything new: As of 5 days ago, feeling the baby kick lots and lots. Last time I didn't feel Brady till around week 18, but this time I feel it a lot more!
Hopefully this week they will give me a picture of the baby at the appointment!

3.22.2011

First pic of them together

Took it on the comp, why it's all blurry!
Brings tears to my eyes...they will totally be best friends!
He loves making faces when doing photobooth now.

Feeling great!
Seriously...not to make people hate me (ok you are going to do that anyways, just like I hate those girls who are 28 weeks and look like me at 2 months and say they are huge). But I love pregnancy! I have had a few days where I am pooped to the max or feeling slightly ill, but overall It's been great! Of course I have already been told "you are huge". At least thus far I have only gained 3 pounds, which I feel has gone to my chest! I'm still in regular jeans, thank goodness for looow rise! My cravings, I really haven't had many. Cucumber and turkey sandwiches, doritos, hamburgers...but nothing lasts very long! Brady pushes on my tummy and says "baby", sometimes he looks under his t-shirt and says "baby", but with a scared voice! I always remind him that even though he has a big tummy, there is no baby in there! Hurray for 12 weeks down and 28 (hopefully less) to go!

I just have a feeling

I swear I am having a girl. I realize I won't know for 9 more weeks, but seriously...it's going to be a girl. Reasons why i think that:
a. Right now everyone was having girls, end of march through summer most friends are having boys, that means by the time I have a baby it will be back to girls. That is just how it goes. There is always a pattern!
b. I am having a REALLY hard time not buying these dresses, I might just hold onto them with a receipt cause they are TO DIE FOR! Plus, have you seen Janie and Jack and gap girls stuff right now!!!!
c. I really REALLY want a boy...I don't feel like Heavenly Father will let me have easy pregnancies and get the kids of my preference and my kids be super easy.
d. Seriously though...aren't these to die for?
