Good Reads

I have been staying up way to late at the end of the night to read lately. I always regret it in the morning, but I just love to end my night with a few pages, or half a book! These have been some good choices lately!

Good Reads

With James gone (3 weeks now) I read A LOT!
This is what I have been reading lately.

great book. Slow start, but once you get into it I loved it. But you know on TV how lots of african americans say "it's cause I'm black"...a lot of this book is about a man who says that and I wanted to punch him in the face! But if you can get over that, it's a great book.

Uh...I read the first one in 2 nights. Then I ran out the 2nd night of finishing Hunger Games ad had to get Catching fire...love Target and their $5.00 books! I can't wait till August 24th to read the 3rd one. Preview for the movie: I think it's going to be like twilight where the people picked to play in it are nothing like the characters in the book! Blah.

Another Great Read

I have just been flying through books lately. We don't have TV anymore since our year contract was up and we want to go with a cheaper place when we move to Kentucky. So I have been really staying on top of chores everyday, reading tons, working out and figuring life out with James. It's been really nice to get other things done! Who would have thought! ;)

Sad book, loved it though, he is a great writer!

Soaking it up

I can't get enough of this book. This is one I feel I could read over and over. I do live vicariously through her and as I read close my eyes and picture myself in her situation (just during the travels, not the divorce). I hope one day my kids have a chance to do something amazing like this, it makes me wish I had done something like this when I was single, because you really get to know yourself.
one of the best books I have ever read! I hope everyone gets a chance to read it. Both men and women would love this book. It gives us insight into Afghanistan and the way they live and ways we can help others. It really made me want to do something for these people and help try to make a difference in others lives!

Saw Fame: the dancing and singing was great, i will buy the soundtrack, but there wasn't enough of it, and the acting was horrible! But it was still a great girls night with the girls and I am signing up for dance classes again! But I did see a preview for this movie and I'm stoked!

Book!

I've been finding time to read. Anyone who says they don't have time...liars ;) I looooved this book, it was sad, but truly amazing! It's based on actual events during the Jew roundup in July 1942 in Paris, I never knew some of these things. I loved every second of it!
I realize I have no new pictures, but I will post this week sometime.

We were driving around on saturday running errands and then James decides we should see a movie at 3:30. Brady is wide awake and playing and I think we should wait till he takes a nap. But James doesn't want us to be the couple to loose our "spontanaity" so We saw Star Trek and took Brady. He LOVED it! I didn't let him watch any of the "scary" or intense parts, but the rest he was totally in love with. He even talked to the characters and was laughing at parts...who is this kid?! So easily entertained and seriously the perfect kid, he didn't cry or fuss once! We are truly lucky!

Friday We also got together with some new couples in our ward who are young (hurray) and played games and ate food, Thanks Mallory for putting it together! Saturday we hung out with our friends Brandon and Meghan...whom we totally love. We had pizza, played with the kids (I am in love with their little girls and wanted to take them home with me) and had Bahama Bucks (it's seriously better than Matsumotos and Angels! - who would have thought that was possible!). It was a fun night...it was a fun weekend!

Need a new Read?

I just finished this book. It was really good. the first one that I have been able to read since having Brady. Sad at parts, some language, but had a really good ending to it.

Books Lately

These have been my life lately. I read the Undomestic Goddess, as a fun easy read and looved it! You can't really go wrong with Sophie Kinsella books for entertainment.
Now I am reading The Night Villa which I looove because it talks a lot about Mythology and Italy, which I have always loved! So far I really enjoy it!
Also I started reading The Proper care & Feeding of Husbands yesterday. My mom gave this to me as a wedding present and I guess she loved it, and have heard from a few other's that it has really made their marriage even easier (as if marriage is easy to begin with). Well I thought, duh...this stuff should be known! Oh gosh was I wrong! Sometimes I think I sound like the women in the book that Dr. Laura complains about! I have tons to learn yet! So I'm totally loving this book and hopefully it will help our marriage become better because obviously there is no manual to marriage and I'm learning as we go and every little bit of advice helps to someone who I guess can be an idiot (me)! READ IT!

Book Club or an Excuse for Girls night?

So last night we had our "book club" only 3 out of the 8 had read the book, but we loved the fact that everyone else came and still put in their opinion! Plus we only really talked about the book for about 20-30 min and then moved on to our girls night talks where we talk about EVERYTHING. They are so fun and make you laugh so hard! We found out some exciting news last night for a special friend, but im still hush hush but I am sooooo excited for this couple! ;) ;) Anyways all of a sudden we all realize it's midnight and wonder why husbands have been calling us asking where the heck we are! It was a fabulous book club, but an even better time with the girls. I always look forward to these nights where we can all let it loose and wear our comfy clothes!
