Ina Oman Johnson 1924 ~ 2010
Ina Georgianna Oman Johnson passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2010 in St. George, Utah.She was born October 24, 1924 in Boneta, Utah to James Larsen Oman and Delva Allred. She married Ted P. Johnson in 1942. He preceded her in death March 17, 1985. Ted and Ina have three children, Ted C. Johnson (Claudia), Ron Johnson, and Pam Low (Eric), eight grandchildren, Candace Mason, Melissa Johnson, Ron Johnson, Amy Johnson, Molly Stanley, Katie Low, James Low, and Ted Low, and 10 beloved great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, James J. Oman and was preceded in death by her sister, Faun Patterson, and brother, Ken Oman. Ina's life revolved around her family. She dedicated herself to supporting them in their many interests and endeavors. She served tirelessly in the Little League programs when her boys were young and never missed one of the thousands of games in which they participated. Ina loved music and enjoyed singing in women's groups and choirs. Ina was highly successful and dearly loved the time she spent as a tour guide on Temple Square. One of her greatest talents was the ability to talk to anyone, anywhere, and anytime and make people her lifelong friends. The family would like to express heartfelt gratitude to Rocky Mountain Care Hospice and the staff at Ridgeview Gardens for their tender, loving, care and the never-ending kindness shown to our Mother. Graveside services will be Saturday, June 26th at 1:00 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South in Sandy with a viewing held one hour prior to the services. I'm sorry about James' grandma. It's never easy to lose someone you love. That is the same cemetary that my baby is buried at. It's a pretty one!
